I still like Kate Bush songs from my youth.
Considering I've moved onto stuff like the Chemical Brothers and Spiritualized plus anything noisy, that's an awful admission!
skinnyboy - I absolutely love Gorillaz too
we are amongst friends here, so you can tell us

on the thread about a special talk, kid-a asked this question.honesty.... are you sure they wont be serving kool-aid???
it got me to thinking.
how many do you think would partake?
ok - slightly off-topic and confessing my ignorance here but since I see it mentioned so often - What's koolaid and do we have a UK equivalent? (not that I might want to try it or anything )
valium -- a trademark used for diazepam.
diazepam -- a tranquilizer, used in the treatment of anxiety and tension and as a sedative, a muscle relaxant, and an anticonvulsant.
anyone here ever taken this drug?
In my late teen years (*sigh*) I was put on 5mg valium 3 times daily for a week, followed by another week on 2mg/3 times daily. - 5mg practically knocked me out. 2mg just made me sleepy.
It took that short time for me to get addicted - took me another 6 months to come off tranquilisers completely. I wouldn't reccommend then unless there's no alternative.
okay i have a problem and it is called jacob my cat.
we found him a few months ago ( he was a stray and my mom brought him home) and the first day he was fine but over the last two months his behavior has gotten really bad.
he has developed the habit of biting (hard) and he also scrathes you for no reason.
Probably the best thing even though its hard.
I don't know how shelters work where you are but maybe they might be able to do some behaviour therapy on him and/or find him a home that's better suited for his type, a place where he's the only pet perhaps? - some shelters in the UK even manage to rehome totally feral cats.
Plus your other cat will be happier and you won't have shredded limbs!

lola
What do you mean by gone - has he left or have you got rid of him?
How old is he and is he neutered? - if not, that may explain his recent aggressive behaviour and his disappearance.
ps one of my cat's must be evil - her rescue centre reference number - H666
"we ... reflect like mirrors the glory of jehovah.
like mirrors the glory of jehovah, are transformed into the same image .
from glory to glory, exactly as done by jehovah [the] spirit..
Thanks Blondie, a great exposition as usual!
I especially liked the use of 2 Corinthians 4:1, 2 in para. 4 with reference to 'anointed' Christians... hmmmm....
I have a couple of questions to ask:
1. Right at the end of para. 18 where it refers to Hebrews 6:10-12:
but be imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Is this referring to other Christians imitating the anointed Christians? If it is, isn't there a slight contradiction with para. 13:
no one is more worthy of imitation than Jehovah God.2. What's the difference between being 'spirit anointed' and having 'Jehovah's powerful holy spirit upon you' (para. 12) ?
i almost never used to have nightmares, but recently, i've been having plenty.
i usually wake up during or after a nightmare with an extremely dry mouth and a pounding headache.
the nightmares occur about 4 or 5 times a week.
I am allergic to alcohol, and the few times when I did have a few sips from someone's drink, that is exactly how I would feel. Waking up in the middle of the night with a very dry mouth and a pounding headache.
Just a thought (because alcohol dehydrates you) - are you drinking enough water through the day? Dehydration will give you a dry mouth and a real bad headache.
i suffer from depression and have been on meds, but now i choose not to take them.
i am thinking of going back into just "therepy" but my question is do jws beleive in therepy?
im not a jw but i do read and beleive the jw way.
Welcome to the board Pbanna
Like Dams said - get the therapy, especially if you've come of the meds. Even if the depression is only 'mild' you run the risk of it getting worse if you try to manage without anything. Also if you find yourself struggling without the meds, don't be afraid to post your feelings here - this is a safe place.

Now that really put a smile on my face!
I tried clicking the 'UK search only' and found the reason why it's happening, check it out:

Anyone think of any 'Google bombs' we could try out?
what are your favorite sci fi movies or books.. mine.. asimov's foundation series.
clarke's childhoods end.. the day the earth stood still.
close encounters.
Close Encounters, I liked that one too. But I think my all time favourite has to be 2001 - Space Oddyssey (?sp). Even though it was getting a bit dated by the time I got to watch it, I found that freaked me out even more than films like Alien!
